Who we are

What is SHPE New Mexico?

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) New Mexico Professional Chapter is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Our chapter runs over 20 projects a year for elementary, middle, and high school students, and awards scholarships to students headed to college. We work closely with students at the University of New Mexico (UNM), New Mexico Tech (NMT), and New Mexico State University (NMSU) — mentoring their membership and supporting their growth.

We operate on membership dues and donations, and offer professional development through workshops and social networking. If you're looking to give back to your community and grow the number of students entering STEM, this is your organization.
